Empowering and Uplifting Local Communities

Gateway for Rural Development (GaFORD) is a Community Based Organization (CBO), currently serving the vulnerable adolescent and youths. ORGANISATION GOALS

Growing the local economy

  • Carry out services and projects that would enhance economic and community development.
  • Create opportunities for community members to learn skills that would enable them to financially support and provide for their families.

Supporting Education

  • Strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy.

  • Reduce gender disparities in education and increase adult literacy.
  • Provide leadership training and skills-based training for women and youths which could lead to self-sufficiency in order to alleviate poverty.

Ensuring every child has access to quality education that would lead to the development of relevant skills

QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Ensuring that children have access to quality early childhood development care and preprimary education so that they are ready for primary education.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Ensuring all women have access to reasonable and valued technical and vocational training.

SKILLS AND TRAINING

Increasinging the number of adults and youth who have relevant skills including technical and vocational training.

IMPROVING FACILITIES

Putting together and improving educational facilities that are conducive for children regardless of gender or having disability that provide safe learning environment for all

SUPPORTING AND ADVANCING TEACHERS

Supporting and advancing teachers’ training through international cooperation, provide schools and teachers with needed resources to ensure effective teaching and learning.

COORDINATING WITH INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Coordinating with international organizations to bring feeding programs to schools in underprivileged communities as well as providing clean drinking water.
